St. Stephen Regional School received accreditation from the Middle States Commission
on Elementary Schools on October 21, 1995. As part of that process, St. Stephen
Regional School participated in a self-study, examining the strengths and weaknesses.
Over the course of the years the school community has worked on improving the
quality of the school.
In 2004-2005 the school applied for reaccreditation. As part of the process,
the school community has prepared a Strategic Plan for St. Stephen Regional
School. Members of the faculty, School Advisory Board, PTC, local government
and parents participated by becoming members of the planning committee. The
committee developed a strategic plan for St. Stephen Regional School that will
focus on development, writing and technology in the upcoming years of the school.
As part of the process, the Middle States Association will send a team to
St. Stephen Regional School in October of 2005 to evaluate its Strategic Plan
and how it is being implemented in the school. The school will receive the results
of the visiting team's observation and its reaccreditation status in 2006.
